Smoothie for beautiful skin & weight loss

Smoothie for beautiful skin & weight loss

Having bought a Nutribullet I wasn’t convinced that carrots and beetroot would be “juiced” enough.  They were!  Success! My latest breakfast is so quick, easy, tasty and healthy that I am just adding more and more ingredients to it each day!  Am completely in love with my new gadget. I know the “purists” will disapprove but, frankly, I haven’t got the time to stand at a Juicer every morning, feeding small pieces of carrot through a funnel.  Better to get those nutrients down you than not at all is all I can say. And your skin, hair and overall health will just say a huge thank you.

INGREDIENTS

This version works for me because I can also have it on my 5:2 "fast days" knowing it's no more than 150 calories IF I exclude coconut oil, or banana and avocado.

And, taking the latest research into account, I have put the veg into the order you should eat them for the highest nutrients for beautiful skin as well as the very best fruit & veg, for losing weight and keeping it off.

Swiss chard, spinach, carrot, yellow or orange pepper, a handful of berries, blueberries are the top of the list for skin, an apple or pear,  a dessert spoon of chia seeds, a dessert spoon of golden flaxseeds, a teaspoon of turmeric (anti-inflammatory), a teaspoon of cinnamon  (lowers cholesterol naturally), a tablespoon of protein powder, preferably raw, (link)  a heaped teaspoon of a raw green powder containing wheat grass, spirulina & barley grass etc. (I like Nature's Living Superfood by Kiki) and a raw egg which makes it all creamy and because it's a complete protein and we should all Go to Work on an Egg!  Finally, I add coconut water or filtered water liquid, but you can use anything you like as long as it's not packed with sweetener or sugar!

This is what I have every morning but you can add anything you like for taste or extra calories:  banana, mango, coconut oil, nuts, avocado etc. & substitute the powders for anything else you regularly use.  That's it, all the nutrients you need for health, beauty, ageing, & staying slim!

And if you want to see how I throw it all together, here's a short video on the perfect green smoothie.
